Terri Gallant is a Contemporary Artist based in Juneau, Alaska. She originally hails from Los Angeles, California.

As a young girl, she used to draw paper dolls and design their clothes. She would also draw fashion models from fashion magazines. As a teenager, growing up in Hollywood, CA., she was mesmerized by the images of movie stars and glamour from the “Golden Age.” She also was fascinated, and immersed herself, in the music scene of the 70’s on the Sunset Strip, also taking note (and wearing herself) the fashions of the ‘Day’ and fashion of the Rock Stars she admired!

Terri’s influences and inspirations range from fashion, fashion magazines. photography, film, pop culture, music, videos, dreams, literature, poetry, nostalgia, and vintage clothing, furniture and decor.

Her work focuses on women, as the central character, in many different scenario’s, and cinematic landscapes and narratives, in either rich, lush colour, noir black and white, or monochromatic. She works in various media, including graphite, ink, watercolour, acrylic, charcoal, pastel, mixed media, on paper and canvas.

Terri attended the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles, CA., where she received an A.A. in Fashion Design and Illustration.
